Why Was the Company's Name Changed
In 2023, it was announced that the name of Madinet Nasr Company would be changed to Madinet Masr Company after more than 50 years under the same name. The reason was to reflect the company's new orientation towards urban development throughout Egypt, and the name change came with a change in the brand to improve the visual identity and to transform from a company name associated with the establishment of the Madinet Nasr area to a real estate development company with upscale residential compounds.

With the beginning of the establishment of Madinet Masr Company, a direct order was issued by the government to the company to implement a modern city on a large area called "Madinet Nasr" after President Gamal Abdel Nasser. This was its first project.
Then it carried out its second project, the Cairo International Stadium, which was implemented on an area of 145 acres through Madinet Masr Company, and until now, it is a leading landmark for sports in Egypt and one of the most famous sports stadiums in the Arab world.
After that came the project of the memorial, which is one of the masterpieces of architectural design. This project was ordered by President Sadat to Madinet Masr for Housing and Development and is considered a commemoration of the unknown soldiers in the war.
