New Cairo is one of Egypt's third-generation cities, located in Cairo Governorate and administratively affiliated with the New Communities Authority. Established by the decision of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt No. 191 for the year 2000, it is one of the largest new cities in Egypt with an estimated area of about 85,000 acres after adding an area of 15,000 acres by ministerial decision No. 499 for the year 2016.
It consists of several different neighborhoods, the most famous of which is the Fifth Settlement, which includes around 10 to 15 residential neighborhoods, in addition to the Rehab City, the First Settlement, the Third Settlement, and others.
